What is Stock Radar, in one sentence?
You photograph the receipts and bills for what you buy. Stock Radar reads each photo on its own and keeps your costs, prices and expenses up to date — without you typing anything.
Where do I start?
Open the app on your phone and take a photo of your first receipt. That’s it — nothing to install, nothing to set up first.
How do I take a good photo?
Lay the receipt flat, in good light, and hold the phone above it so the whole sheet fits. It needn’t be perfect — if a piece is missing, the app tells you.
Which papers should I photograph?
Every receipt and bill for what you buy for the shop: the merchandise, and your expenses too — rent, heating, internet, phone. The more you photograph, the more useful it is.
After the photo it asks me two things. Why?
It shows what it read and asks you to confirm just two: how many units are in the case, and the price. One tap to say “yes, that’s right,” and it’s done.
How do I add a worker?
On the Workers screen, tap Add, enter their email and choose Worker. They get a link and sign in on their own phone. A worker photographs receipts but sees no money at all.
What’s a manager, and how do I add one?
A manager sees costs and can change sell prices, but not your margins. Add them like a worker, choosing Manager instead.
How do I name another owner?
Add them first as a worker or manager, then change their role to Owner next to their name. An owner sees everything, and a shop can have several.
I’m selling the shop. How do I hand over the keys?
The rule is simple: the new one first, you second. Make the new person the owner, check their email, then change your own role or step out.
Who sees my margins and profits?
Only owners. A worker sees no money at all; a manager sees costs and prices, but not your margins.
Is it free at first?
Yes — the first 8 weeks are free, with no card up front. You try it in peace, and payment comes up only afterward.
How much does it cost?
$50 a month, per shop. No contract, no hidden fees, stop whenever you want.
How can I pay?
By card, by automatic bank withdrawal, or by e-transfer — whichever suits you.
Can the payment leave my account on its own?
Yes. With automatic bank withdrawal you enter your details once, and the $50 comes out each month without you thinking about it.
Can I track my expenses too?
Yes. Photograph your bills — rent, heating, internet, phone, insurance — and they sort themselves into the right category.
Does the app learn my suppliers?
Yes. Confirm once that a bill is your heating, say, and every bill from that supplier files itself after that.
Where do I see what matters at a glance?
On the Attention page. It gathers onto one screen what deserves your eye: a price creeping up, a product costing more than before, an unusual expense.
What will the app never do?
Under Quebec’s Law 25, your prices and buying habits belong to the shop, not to us. It never sells your data, never shares it, and never uses it for anything else. You can leave and take your data with you.
I lost my phone. How do I get back in?
As long as your email is on file, you sign back in from any phone. If you’re locked out, write bonjour@stockradar.ca.
